Wasn't going to be a great day from the start anyway - I had a funeral I supposed to attend at 1:30.
And if anyone doesn't like these "I just have to vent" threads, press the back button now.
I live pretty much right beside a church. The manse is between us, but the church parking lot is behind my back yard. I was sitting on my back deck at about noon yesterday reading, when I noticed the church had let out. 2-3 minutes later I here screeching tires and a bang. When I used to live in the city that meant a fender bender, and they're interesting to see, so I went around front to see what happened. About 3 lawns down (just the other side of the church) there's a car on its roof about 50 yards from the road, and I see a guy pulling somebody out. I quickly put the dog in and bolted. The guy that saw it pulled 1 girl from the car (the driver). She was wearing her seatbelt - her 2 friends weren't. They were thrown (just so you know, my wife checked at the hospital, they should be OK). I had to run back to get towels. I thought 1 girl had lost her right eye, her face was that gashed. I had to hold her legs down to keep her from thrashing while somebody keep pressure on her wounds. It wasn't until the paramedics arrived and they used the flashlight on her eyes that I could see she still had both of them.
The other girl - I thought I was looking at a parapalegic. Her bottom half was twisted in a way that makes me cringe to think about (it wasn't her back though - both her legs were broken). All we could do was cover her and wait.
Chaserfan, and anyone else who's medical personel out there, I don't know how you do it. My hat goes off to you.
I just needed to get that off my chest.

i saw a wreck saturday but it was in the mall parking lot..... and NOTHING like that!! atleast they were all still living!
It was a good day because you were there and you did the right thing.
